Solar Taurus 70

Solar Taurus 70 belongs to the family of industrial gas turbine units with a modular design.

Taurus 70 is available in two modifications:

• Single-shaft design with constant speed. Used to generate electricity (generator unit).
• Two-shaft design with adjustable speed. It is used in mechanical drive units.

The Solar Taurus 70 gas turbine is an enlarged copy of its predecessorSolar Taurus 60 gas turbine and has a 38% higher capacity, which is achieved by installing 2 more stagesof the compressor.

The first Solar Taurus 70 gas turbines were launched in 1995.
