Solar Centaur 40
Solar Centaur 40 is a low-power gas turbine unit. The model was developed on the basis of the Saturn series.
The Centaur 40 model has a durable and reliable design, which was developed on the basis of technologies proven by numerous tests. Due to this, some of the most critical units of the installation, such as the combustion chamber, turbine, thrust bearings, have an extended service interval. This model is used both for generating electricity and for transporting resources in the oil and gas sector. Accordingly, there are both single-shaft and twin-shaft versions of the turbine. Single-shaft designs have higher resistance to dynamic loads.
Solar Centaur 40 is equipped with a SoLoNOx combustion chamber. It can operate on 2 types of fuel: liquid and natural gas. Due to the organization of the combustion process at lower temperatures, the emission of harmful nitrogen oxide emissions in the exhaust gases does not exceed 25 ppm. The temperature at the turbine outlet is 505°C.
Thanks to the use of modern solutions and materials in the development of the gas turbine flow path, the service interval is 30,000 hours, which allows to significantly reduce service costs, avoid long downtimes, and, as a consequence, underproduction of electrical energy.
