Solar Centaur 40 is a low-power gas turbine unit. The model was developed based on the Saturn serie.
The Centaur 40 has a spark-ignited and reliable lamp, which has been developed on the basis of proven industrial technology. Thanks to this, the most critical parts of the unit, such as the combustion chamber , turbine , support bearing, have extended service intervals.
The efficient model is used both for power generation and for transportation of resources in the oil and gas world. Accordingly, both single-shaft and twin-shaft versions of the turbine are found. Single-shaft designs have a higher resistance to heavy loads.
The Solar Centaur 40 has a SoLoNOx type combustion chamber. In operation it is possible to use 2 types of fuel: liquid and natural gas. As a result of the combustion process at lower temperatures, the level of harmful nitrogen oxides in the incoming gases does not increase by 25 parts per million. The temperature at the turbine outlet is 505°C.
Due to the use of modern solutions and materials in the development of the GTU flow part, the service interval is 30,000 hours, which allows to significantly reduce service costs, avoid long downtime and, in terms of theory, underproduction of electrical energy.
